Introduced in 1957, the F-8 Crusader made headlines for flying at supersonic speeds with just one engine. The F-8 was also the final U.S. fighter to use guns as primary weapons (before the switch to guided missiles). Kit features a detailed cockpit with pilot figure, separate wing tips (which can be mounted up or down), four side-mounted missiles, six center-mounted bombs and decals for two versions: 1. U.S. Marines F-8E, Buno 150660 VMF(AW) 312 Checkerboarders and 2. U.S. Navy F-8E Buno 149146, VF-211 Checkermates (the Vietnam War's highest-scoring F-8 squadron).
