Piston-powered and combat-tough. The tough and versatile A-1 Skyraider was among the final piston-powered, prop-driven fighter aircraft produced just before the dawn of the "Jet Age." Distinguishing features of the "AD-6" variant included a low/high altitude bomb detector, a 14/30 inch bomb ejector and three dive brakes. Kit features a detailed cockpit, a choice between an open or closed canopy, under-wing ordnance, a detailed pilot and decal markings for AD-6 (A-1H), 1st Fighter Squadron, Vietnamese Air Force, Squadron Commander's aircraft and AD-4E, BUNO 132325, Naval Ordinance Test Station (NOTS), China Lake, California, 1956.
